The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration awards 2012 models a safety score based on the revised New Car Assessment Program that was implemented starting with last years models. The overall rating is based off of frontal and side crash tests as well as rollover resistance testing. These four tests are combined to form the Overall Vehicle Score.
